I had the pleasure to participate yesterday in a creative event organised by the Viennese Textile Guild, the Viennese Jewellery Makers Guild and the contemporary design gallery Artup.
The main event, held yesterday in 48 locations, is called „Lange Nacht der Schmuckkunst“ / “The Long Night of Art Jewellery” and took place for the 7th year now. One of the hosting locations was Artup, in the First District of Vienna, a place that welcomes and sells Austrian design (fashion, accessories, home decoration objects, jewellery).
The project’s initiators invited jewellery and fashion artists to pair up and create one to three outfits in order to bring together the two fields. I chose to work with Charity Akuma, a jewellery maker that I admire since many years! Our concept was to bring out the two main characters of our designs and personal origins: the European design combined with the raw, robust, African art.
We wish to thank the organisers, the team behind the fashion shows and of course our colleagues and guests (friends, customers, press, interested parties)!

Between my presentations, I had a bit of time to shortly visit another location in the near-by, the wonderful contemporary jewellery gallery, Stoß im Himmel. Izabella Petrut and her colleagues, exhibited their amazing collections, it was an absolute dream to be there! The whole gallery was filled with love, coziness, great art and gourmet treats :)
