Natural Bridal Beauty – English Rose Look

I was very happy and excited when Ellieline invited me to join her and video producer Nils Neuer to film the creation of a bridal look. As I was present that week at the gallery of my 10th anniversary exhibition I got the idea to make our project there! It was fun and delightful, it didn’t feel like work

I love how my silk flowers headpiece, top and skirt are complementing Sabrina's gorgeous hair & natural make-up.

Here is my first bridal beauty video:

Moonlight Mist – My New Couture Headpieces Collection

I usually need 12 – 15 months to work and finish a couture headpieces & hair adornments collection. I started to design Moonlight Mist last summer, it is my third collection and it sums up to 11 pieces.

Every headpiece is conceived by me and crafted together with my master teacher (she consults and directs me since five years), I feel so fortunate and grateful that I can learn and explore such a beautiful, creative and skillful profession! Couture millinery and silk flowers crafting professions are dying out as less and less of us truly have the passion, time and dedication to construct from 0 an accessory that is valued and purchased by only a few (mostly arts & crafts lovers). We hand cut, form, dye, every petal, leave, stamina that create a silk or lace flower; we construct every branch and feather; we hand sew every stone, pearl and crystal...

My New Bridal Showroom

This autumn I will celebrate 10 years since I opened my fashion design atelier; I can’t believe how time was flying but it also feels like “forever”. It’s impossible to imagine my life without my profession, as it absolutely truly defines me.

After I won Austria’s Best Bridal Designer Award on the 28th of January, I decided to take a daring step and rent a beautiful space dedicated entirely to my bridal work. A place located in the city center, where I can meet the brides-to-be for talks and fittings. The process of finding this jewel apartment was very short and filled with luck and joy! Despite its condition, the financial and time strain to renovate it, I could see the utmost potential: a gorgeous Gründerzeit building located in one of the best Viennese areas.

Natural Romance

These bridal portraits of Sarah were taken on a sunny and charming spring afternoon in a magical garden outside of Vienna. Together with my mother and a small group of talented people, I spent a couple of delightful hours creating a little set of fairyland portraits.

Monica’s Wedding Gown – The Wedding

I've recently published a selection of snap shots from my atelier during the fitting day with my Transylvanian bride, Monica. When I received their wedding photos, the first thing I noticed was their immense bliss, calmness and lack of stress; they took everything very cool and were exceptionally easy going. I was invited at Monica & Gabriel's wedding and, from the bottom of my heart, felt sorry to miss their big day! My Maltese holiday overlapped the date and I couldn't find a good compromise.

Winning the Austrian Wedding Award in the Category "Best Designer": an Emotional Moment

A great "Thank You!" to the organizers and the Jury from Austrian Wedding Award for the appreciation and honour that I've received on Thursday night! Their initiative and dedication are certainly deeply appreciated by hundreds from the wedding business and beyond.

A kind "Thank you!" also to those that always believed in me and took my dreams, love and passion seriously! A special "Thank You!" to my mother and husband, they were my first mentors and continue to be my comfort and compass. I am grateful to all my friends, customers, colleagues and everyone positive around me for being an inspiration and a delight to me!

Monica’s Wedding Gown & Wedding Dress – The Fitting

Monica’s custom order has a special meaning to me; she travelled from Transylvania to Vienna to meet me and to decide together with me on her bridal designs. We got to know each other a few years back, through a common friend, when I visited Cluj – Napoca. I was delighted when, after a while, Monica’s future husband contacted me for an appointment, writing that they have a baby boy, they will marry in about six months from then and they chose me as Monica’s designer based on my working skills and because they simply liked me. It was lovely to meet them over a coffee; they've booked their accommodation at a hotel next to my atelier so it was very practical and fun!

The Air Is Like Champagne

One of this summer’s inspirational shoots that I am especially proud of, was organized by Austrian photographer’s duo Natascha and Isabelle from belle & sass. They invited me to take part with one of my classical bridal dresses from my Gentle Fairies & The Golden Flowers line. From their first email, I was super happy; I already knew their work and loved to have the opportunity to be featured in one of their shoots!

I love to design formal wedding dresses with a little spark that brings a precious feeling to the ceremony! Most important to me is that the bride has great pleasure and comfort wearing the dress.

Sînziana's Wedding Dress

I’ve been holding back Sînziana's wedding dress story for months, in order to find the right moment to share it with you ... Her dress was a magical project, I felt so special when I found out, that I will actually create a design for her and for her unborn Angel, Mathilda.

When I first met Sînzianato to talk about her style and taste, her ideas were different to what we, in the end, went for. Because some weeks later, meeting over a cup of tea in town, she confessed, with a big smile, that we will have to start over and think of a completely different bridal outfit: I was actually one of the first people to learn about her pregnancy. I highly appreciate it; as a designer, it’s essential to know such things as early as possible, in order to work accordingly, on all the details!

BrautSache 2015

Photo: Elena Azzalini

Yesterday I took part in the 5th Viennese edition of Brautsache – an exclusive event dedicated to future brides and anyone else interested in wedding related services. It was my second participation (see last year's) and I feel lucky and honored for being chosen and invited to participate in such a grandiose project.

I wish to thank the organisers (Niely Hoetsch and Michaela Honies) and their team of professionals for giving me the opportunity to present my work in the best setting. They always do an amazing job for everyone involved! The number of visitors was very high; it was a delight to meet so many ladies that will marry this year or in 2016.

A “thank you!” goes to Elena Azzalini for capturing many beautiful moments, to Annette my model (she did an amazing job) and to my special guests that accepted my invitation to visit the fair!

I will soon publish more photos!

Aubrey’s Wedding Dress – The Wedding

Aubrey’s Wedding Dress – Working Process, Fittings, Wedding Preparations

Aubrey found my atelier doing a Google search for local bridal designers, she wrote me an email and we happily agreed on an appointment! She is so sweet, well educated and warm hearted; we instantly felt like we know each other since a long time! We discovered that we have common acquaintances and I felt lucky that she chose me to be her wedding dress designer. Aubrey was born in Colorado, US and lives now in Vienna, the city where she met her future (back then, now actual) husband. Their love story is like taken from a movie and it’s so wonderful to hear stories like theirs :)
