Stunning and talented Austrian singer-songwriter ZOË wore a silver and cream brocade couture gown & matching headpiece, yesterday at the annual Vienna Opera Ball.

It was such a pleasure to work with ZOË and her stylist, Jasmina Straub, both are very professional - and absolutely lovely!

We are very happy about all the compliments and positive feedback ZOË received on her outfit and the coverage online, on TV and in the press!

Veşminte – Exhibition Video

My anniversary exhibition 12.10 – 21.10. 2016 was an unpredictable success; everyone involved in the project was absolutely wonderful (professional, valuable, focused), everything went smooth and delightful and our guests and casual visitors were absolutely lovely and supportive!

The Romanian Cultural Institute (the exhibition host and coordinator) organised evening events almost every day during my exhibition and I’ve been present at almost each of them. It was so relaxing and enriching...

I am delighted that I was offered the chance to produce a short video that captures some moments of the exhibition, so that we can keep the memories alive. I am thankful to Nils Neuer for his creativity in shooting and editing the video, his professionalism and patience and of course to all the partners and guests shown in the video: the Romanian Cultural Institute represented by vice director Mihaela Baston-Ciobanu, Dina Lee, Elham Pouladvand, Taro Ohmae, Erika Zormann, Charity Okuma, Sabrina Socaciu, Marina Istoc and little Leonardo.

Veşminte – Exhibition Opening

On the evening of the 12th of October, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of my label with the opening of a jubilee exhibition. It was such a marvelous evening; I will remember it for the rest of my life! Many people came to show their appreciation, some even had to make a big effort to be present. But for everybody that visited I feel thankful and grateful. We had guests from Vienna, outside of the city and even from abroad. I can’t put into words how much I love the result of Veşminte exhibition, the project is the work of a small but tenacious team: the Romanian Cultural Institute in Vienna (a handful of professionals), portrait photographer Dina Lee, arhitect and make-up artist Valentina Burigo and my in-house model Ines (on the invitation card we cooperated with Elham Pouladvand and Ellina Sedova).

My designs are placed in the most fitting surroundings, an elegant old building that is home to the Romanian Cultural Institute; and Dina Lee’s artistic photographs are perfectly complementing the selected pieces that exemplify my work starting with 2006.

My First 10 Professional Years

In October 2006 I opened my atelier on Burggasse 29, 1070 Vienna. Without any moral or financial support. I was completely alone. My good friend Claudia, decided to share the space for a year, I sold my beloved Ford Fiesta and with a bag full of courage, naivety, determination, passion, hunger for knowledge and discovery, love for sewing, arts, craft - I began this journey.

10 years later and over 500 hand-made pieces, looking back, it feels like the time compressed in an abstract dimension with shades of bright light, white, rosé, grey, darkness... These 10 years have been highly challenging but also highly rewarding. It is exactly how I imagined my life to be. My atelier has become my life. Although the physical address changed, my atelier is my personal universe; a place where I feel free, independent, safe, creative, captivated, confident, sentimental... I love to work alone, so, the future will not change this aspect.

I am grateful that my profession is offering me the possibility to have material proof from the past; albeit it wasn’t easy to procure items from my early professional years, I will manage to bring to my anniversary exhibition pieces, that were made even before I opened my atelier.

In the future years I hope to be able to continue on this path, naturally ascending and filled with demanding work, personal inspirations and beautiful people.

I am inviting you and anyone interested, to come and see my temporary exhibition Veşminte, hosted by the Romanian Cultural Institute in Vienna. For 7 days, from the 13th of October until the 21st (excl. the weekend), I will personally be there most of the time. Weekend in Innsbruck

I returned last night from a delightful working weekend trip to Innsbruck; I love this city and I always look for one reason or more, to travel there!

Winning the Austrian Wedding Award in the Category "Best Designer": an Emotional Moment

A great "Thank You!" to the organizers and the Jury from Austrian Wedding Award for the appreciation and honour that I've received on Thursday night! Their initiative and dedication are certainly deeply appreciated by hundreds from the wedding business and beyond.

A kind "Thank you!" also to those that always believed in me and took my dreams, love and passion seriously! A special "Thank You!" to my mother and husband, they were my first mentors and continue to be my comfort and compass. I am grateful to all my friends, customers, colleagues and everyone positive around me for being an inspiration and a delight to me!

Kleidoscop Design Market At Endlich Store, Innsbruck

Last Saturday I was invited to take part in a creative design market that displayed only handcrafted or handmade products such as clothing for women, men & children, handbags, jewelry, home decoration, graphic design and food. The event took place at Endlich store, located in a former factory near the centre of Innsbruck. It was my second time to participate at such cool event and each time I felt warmly welcomed and appreciated.

My Weekend At The Wedding Days Fair in Schloss Atzenbrugg

On the 17th and 18th of October I had the pleasure to take part in a very beautiful, cozy and captivating weddings fair, named "Wedding Days“. I also participated last year, and so I knew that everything would be wonderfully organized and a joyful experience! And I was  right: everything was relaxed & cool but very professional at the same time.

After a six week break, I am soo happy and excited to get back here with news, latest projects, interesting people and of course, photos! I refined and placed aside what I consider to be interesting to be published on Seams & Chronicles so, I hope, you will like the new content!

I would like to start with one of my beloved projects, A Fashion Day. This year, again, I organised it on my own, but sure, with a little help from friendly hands! Everything goes easier, it didn’t feel too stressful or exhausting. The personal highlight was my mother’s attendance. It was her first personal contact with my work, ever. In nine years, she never saw my atelier, neither a presentation, show or a full collection!

Invited at the peesan party – Innsbruck

The last week of January was the highlight of this year’s start! I wish the following months to bring many similar occasions to travel, to meet wonderful people, to be inspired and to show my work.

I happily accepted my designer friend’s invitation, Johanna Larcher (peesan.com), to visit her home town, Innsbruck. Since a few years she's inviting me to come and this time I found a good time window: a few days in the last week of January!

Wedding Days 2014 – Impressions

The first edition of the Wedding Days just ended, it was a weekend filled with sun, beauty, wedding flair, smiles and style. Everything was perfectly designed, organised and coordinated by the two little angels Sabrina Ullmann (The Perfect Day) and Raphaela Ramler (Venus Weddings).

I am so pleased and happy that I accepted the invitation to exhibit my work at such a lovely project, it was a great opportunity to experience another wedding fair that comes close to my heart, standards and expectations. The organisers impressed me to tears; they gave their absolute everything to make everyone feel welcome and taken care of.

Get Dressed For Europe - Fashion Show

What a great event it was! I can openly say that it was my best show ever: perfectly organised from the very first minute until the last. In my next post I will publish some behind the scene photos, it was so much fun and joy!

BrautSache 2014

I’m feeling so honoured to have my name included in the Brautsache 2014 exhibitor’s list; it was a dream, starting from the perfect organization and logistics, the breath-taking location, fashion shows to the great mood that surrounded us. Despite all the hard work and exhaustion, as soon as the fair began, I started to feel relaxed and delighted to meet my lovely future brides, potential customers, colleagues and partners.

Ready For the Brautsache

Today, another edition of Brautsache will take place, a gorgeous bridal fair organised by Michaela Honies and Niely Hoesch. The two ladies are behind the concept and organisation of another amazing fair, the Wedding Affairs. Last September I had the honour to be invited to participate at the third edition of the Wedding Affairs and this time it felt the same, I am so happy and proud to be among so many great names and brands in the Austrian (creative) wedding scene.

Some of the highlights of today’s fair are the fashion and bridal dresses presentations; yesterday, I had the great pleasure to meet for the first time the model that was proposed to me by the organisers.
