I started designing this collection about a couple of months ago; I love ruffles and the first piece (the long skirt) gave me the inspiration to continue and develop my idea: ruffles for a romantic mood. I will soon add new pieces to the capsule, but at the moment it consists of five designs, adding up to three outfits.
I got to know the photographer, Danielle Cassar, while searching for a good accommodation in Valletta, Malta. She owns a sweet, little apartment right in the centre of the capital; her airbnb feedback is amazing so I booked it right away. Her email conversations were so professional and friendly, later I found out that she has a twin sister like I do and works in a creative field, photography. I asked her if she would like to do a photo shoot in Malta and to my joy she happily accepted.
It all developed into a beautiful story: Dani contacted a professional make-up artist; the owners of the second apartment where we stayed in Malta introduced us to their friend, to model, so everything came together perfectly. The shoot was a great pleasure and fun, we were a team of nine people of different nationalities feeling like we know each other since ages, the location was perfect and the weather a blessing!
